Issue Summary
When attempting to delete a Screen associated with a Create transition in any Workflow, a misleading error occurs. The error message "Cannot delete screen as it is used in Screen Schemes" is displayed, despite the Screen not being associated with any Screen Scheme. The Screen, linked to the Create transition of a project's Workflow, allows the 'Delete' option. Associating it with any other transition makes it visible under the Workflows column on the Screen page, and the 'Delete' option becomes disabled.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new Screen.
- Associate the Screen only with a Create transition in a project's Workflow.
- Attempt to delete this Screen.
Expected Results
It is expected that a specific error message is displayed, such as "Cannot delete screen as it is used in a workflow transition", instead of the generic error related to Screen Schemes. Additionally, to prevent this issue, users should not be allowed to associate screens with the Create transition, which seems to be an invalid action considering that only the screen associated with the Create Issue operation in the Screen Scheme is considered. This adjustment would eliminate the occurrence of the error.
Actual Results
Users can associate Screens with Workflows' Create transitions, this association is not visible on the Screen page (under the Workflows column). The 'Delete' option is enabled, but upon attempting to delete, a generic error is displayed.
Workaround
Navigate to the Screen page, check each affected Screen, identify the projects where it is shared, and individually remove the screen from the transition by setting the Screen to 'None' in the transition settings to mitigate the issue.
