      Summary

The quick search "Saved Filter" inside Gadgets is not listing all available filters that match the search criteria. It returns a list of 10 items that match the search criteria and then does consecutive searches over those first 10 items, missing filters that were not included in the first results.

      Affects

      • JIRA cloud
      • Dashboard Gadgets
      • Confluence Macros with JIRA filters

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create 11 or more Filters that start with the same word. e.g: "Filter A","Filter B", etc
      2. Add the "Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" gadget to a Dashboard
      3. Search for the 11th filter by typing "Filter K"

      Expected Results

The Filter is found because the search matches the filter's name.

      Actual Results

      • Typing the first name returns 10 filters. Good so far.
      • Typing the start of the second word brings no results or a sub group of the previous 10 results.

      Notes

      • Searching for "K" in the example, will find the 11th filter but if the site has another 10 filters with the letter K, it may not. Making it unsearchable.

      Workarounds

      • Use the Advanced Search to find the filter (not available in Confluence macros)
      • Add a unique word to the filter.
      • Search for the second word. This will only work if the 10 results for the second word include the filter.
