Description
Issue Summary
The "Share Issue" feature within our system does not adhere to configurations set under General Configuration > Email From settings. Specifically, when sharing an issue via email notification, the sender name defaults to "JIRA" instead of using a customized value defined as expected.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)
Steps to Reproduce
1. Navigate to General configuration > Email from settings
2. Set up or confirm customization of `${fullname} (ACME)` with any specific value apart from default ("JIRA").
3. Use the "Share Issue" feature to share an issue with a user.
4. Observe the sender's name in the received email notification.
Expected Results
The expected result is that when sharing an issue, the email notification sent should respect and reflect the customized `${fullname} (ACME) ` value set under General Configuration > Email From settings as its sender name instead of defaulting to "JIRA".
Actual Results
Contrary to expectations, emails triggered by using the Share Issue feature display “JIRA” as their sender's name regardless of custom configurations made for `${fullname} (ACME)`, indicating that these preferences are overlooked or not properly applied during this specific action.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
