Issue Summary
In a particular scenario where the project only needs epic issue type and the issue type scheme is adjusted only to have epic, the "Add a child issue" button would be confusing as child issues can't be created.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new Issue type scheme with epic only;
- Associate this issue type scheme to a project;
- Create a new epic;
- Try using the "Add a child issue" button to create a child issue;
- When clicking on the Create button, nothing happens;
Expected Results
The "Add a child issue" button should be hidden to avoid confusion with users within this project or a message clarifying that there isn't an issue type available for the child issue in the "issue type scheme" used by the project;
Actual Results
The button "Add a child issue" is present and can cause the impression that child issues can be created.
The first part of the video below shows how it works when the issue type scheme has all issue types, and the second part is when the issue type scheme is only for epics.
Workaround
At the moment, we don't have any workaround.
