Issue Summary
If the saved filter's name has any non-alphanumeric characters on its name, the search will not work correctly in the View all filters page or Gadgets.
Steps to Reproduce
Perform an advanced search and save it as a name separated by a non-alphanumeric character (e.g. name with - dash) and then follow below steps.
On View All Filters
- Navigate to Filters > View all filters.
- Lookup for the filter name and identify:
- When searching for the data prior to the non-alphanumeric character will return the filter:
- When searching for the data after the non-alphanumeric character will return the filter:
- When searching for the full filter name without the non-alphanumeric character will return the filter:
- When searching for the exact filter name will not return the filter:
- When searching for the data prior to the non-alphanumeric character will return the filter:
On Gadgets
- Go to any dashboards or create a new one.
- Include any gadgets where configurations require a saved filter.
- Lookup for the filter name and identify:
- When searching for the data prior to the non-alphanumeric character will return the filter:
- When searching for the data after the non-alphanumeric character will return the filter:
- When searching for the full filter name without the non-alphanumeric character will not return the filter:
- When searching for the exact filter name will not return the filter:
- When searching for the data prior to the non-alphanumeric character will return the filter:
Expected Results
The filter should be retrieved in all of those search scenarios.
Actual Results
The scenarios where the non-alphanumeric character is included in the search do not work.
Workaround
Search by the first part of the filter name, or by the last one.
