Issue Summary
Users are unable to create a new component in Jira Software, Jira Work Management and Jira Service Management as the button is not being displayed
Steps to Reproduce
- Not all instances are affected by this issue
Expected Results
- To be able to add a new component.
Actual Results
- Unable to add new component due to the button being missing.
Workaround
A workaround has been posted in one of our community posts and I've included this below
Bulk update
- Select at least 1 ticket
- Edit
- Component: Add to Existing
- Enter a new component name
- Click Next
- Click Confirm
- Click Done/Acknowledge
Your new component should now be created. You can then edit that ticket and remove it from the dummy ticket you used to create it
Then you have the component created for use elsewhere
