Resolution field was not set during Automation

      Issue Summary

      Automation action “Transition issue” did not set the Resolution field for some issues on Resolve transition. The Automation did not fail and the issue status was changed to Done ( No errors in the logs, just success)
      This is reproducible on Data Center: (no)

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Create a manually triggered automation
      • Set the automation to manually transition the issue to Resolved status
      • Do not set a resolution field
      • Save and run the automation

      Expected Results

      Automation was supposed to fail if the field was not set

      Actual Results

      The Automation rule ran successfully and the issue was transitioned to Done. Causing the resolution field not to appear in the UI

      Workaround

      Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
