Description
Issue Summary
When importing CSV files, it's possible to set the "Create date" and "Updated date" value of the issues. You can set a date and time in the future and the CSV file accepts it, showing in the UI the create date in the future. You can have the create date set to a date after the last update date value
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a project and add issues to it
- Export the issues to a CSV file
- Edit the CSV file, setting the "Created" or "Updated" value to a date and time in the future
- Import the CSV file into Jira, mapping the field to make it update the issues, instead of creating new ones (mapping the "Issue Key" and "Issue Id" values)
- Look at the Created and Update date of the issues
Expected Results
The CSV import feature compares the current date and the date in the field informs that the imported date is an invalid date
Actual Results
The CSV file imports the issues and set the created/updated date of the issue to the future date set in the CSV file.
Workaround
Export the affected issues into a CSV file, set the "Created" date to a previous time and then import the file with the fixed dates
