      Issue Summary

      Attachments when copy/pasted from other Projects or linked tickets shows Preview Unavailable or broken on create screen and comments. 

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Copy an attachment from any ticket. 
      2. Paste it either into the ticket from a different project (both Jira Software/Jira Service Management), a linked ticket. Either into the description or the internal or public comments. 
      3. The spinning wheel keeps on rotating for some time and then throws the message, Preview Unavailable. On clicking on Save button it stays in the Preview Unavailable and on refreshing the page totally sometimes mitigates the issue and sometimes not.  
      4. Checked with more than one browser, issue lies the same and also easily replicated in our test instances. 

      Expected Results

      The attachment on getting pasted should show the preview and work without any issue. 

      Actual Results

      The attachment shows Preview is unavailable. 


      On saving it and then trying to see the preview, get to see. 

      Workaround

      So far only one workaround works, which is also not giving 100% positive outcome and that is refreshing the page.

            Same thing happened to me today out of the blue.  The images in a field say "Preview Unavailable" and don't show in the attachments list.  I was going to put images in here but the editor didn't let me.

            This issues is still occurring - any updates on when it will be rolled out?

            Still seeing this issue - images were showing up fine so far, and suddenly now shows Preview unavailable even to me - creator

            Description: I am unable to see images that are added to a ticket, but other team users can. here's an example, but I do not have permissions to insert screenshots.

            Seeing a similar bug for Some/Not All users. Is there a similar bug that is open to track resolution?

            We are facing this issue also.

            Even if we re-upload the images the "Preview Unavailable" appears again.

            We are experiencing this issue, and have been for a while, although it seemed limited to certain Request Types.  Also, we're not necessarily copying from another ticket, it's the original snip/paste that is getting the "preview unavailable."

            @Nick Robson, we are still seeing the Preview Unavailable. Can you please confirm that the fix has been rolled out in NA East Coast? Will this fix be applied to production environments as well as sandboxes? Thanks.

            Hi 77718ef0b5c4, yes, we're currently rolling out the fix, it's just taking a bit longer than expected, sorry for that. It's available in APAC and EU regions right now, and will soon be available in NA (in ~1 hour, if all goes well). I'll leave another message here when we've finished rolling it out.

            Thank you both for reporting that this has started again! We've been able to reproduce the issue again and found that our original fix for this was mistakenly removed when we upgraded our editor last week. We're now working on getting it back, and we hope to have the fix released tomorrow.

            This issue still occurs in the Atlassian Cloud. Please reopen and rework as it is still a huge nuisance for our users that some have over 5,00+ images that they can not see the preview. Thanks.
