Overview:

Some users would like the ability to hide the name of the transitions in the status dropdown menu when on an issue screen, and only display the name of the status.

Current Situation:

Currently, Jira always displays transition names in the status dropdown menu, as there can be multiple transitions leading to the same status, each with different effects. This is necessary so customers can select the correct transition for their specific case.

Proposed Solution:

Add an option in the dropdown to allow users to hide the transition names, displaying only the status names. This feature would benefit users who have only one transition leading to each status, but many statuses.

Please consider implementing this suggestion, as it would make the status dropdowns cleaner and more visually organized, for this specific case scenario. Please refer to the example in the attached screenshot.
