XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When using the property jira.permission.createclone.denied at a specific status in Jira Software, it disabled the creation of Child Issues at Epics.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Apply the property to a status
      2. View an epic that has that status
      3. You won't be able to clone the issue, but neither create Child Issues, only Subtasks.

Check the recording below to understand the behavior:
      https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuAeob5

      Expected Results

You won't be able to clone the Epic issue, but you can still add Child Issues and the Add a child issue button should appear

      Actual Results

You won't be able to clone the Epic issue neither still add Child Issues, only Substasks. The Add a child issue button does not appear

      Workaround

      • You can still add child issues by setting the Epic Link field on the desired child issue.
      • You can remove the workflow property from the status to avoid the bug, but this will mean people can clone the issue.
