Summary
It’s not possible to format texts or include links within blocks of code and inline code. You can't select bold, italic, strikethrough, link, and so on for the code. Those options are grayed out.
Steps to Reproduce
- Start a WYSWIG JIRA editor session
- Type “This is code.”
- Highlight “code.”
- Select the ellipsis menu option
- Select code.
- Highlight code.
Suggested Solution
Make it possible to format texts within blocks of code to select bold, italic, strikethrough, link, and so on for the code.
Actual Results
This is expected behavior. Formating can't be used within code blocks or inline code.
Workaround
There is no current workaround.
