Support numbered lists in markdown to be pasted into table cells

      Summary

      Currently, it's not possible to copy/paste numbered lists within table cells in Jira issues.

      Expected Results

      It should be possible to paste numbered lists within table cells in Jira text fields. 

      Actual Results

      If we paste a numbered list, this is considered a plain text instead. Numbered lists are only supported outside table cells: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/available-markdown-commands/

      Workaround

      Currently, there is no other workaround for this behavior.

            Bullet & numbered lists are abundantly common formatting in table cells. When copy/pasting a markdown table that includes syntax  for creating a bullet or # list in a cell, the Jira editor doesn't recognize this syntax and just includes a "*" or a "#" as a text element, and inserts the content as a long, uninterrupted string. The user must then manually go in and fix this, hitting return after each line item (for each cell containing a list) to achieve a nicely formatted list in a table cell.
