Summary

Currently, it's not possible to add new lines/paragraphs through <br> as suggested by markdown documentation.

Expected Results

It should be possible to add new lines/paragraphs through <br> tag as we can also use other tags as mentioned in Jira doc https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/markdown-and-keyboard-shortcuts/

Workaround

Currently, there is no other workaround for this behavior.
