The current REST API for Dashboards does not mention the dashboard layout anywhere. This means that apps cannot determine the layout of an existing dashboard, and they cannot create dashboards except using the default layout.
It would be ideal to add a new property for this to the existing Get Dashboard / Create Dashboard / Update Dashboard REST endpoints. A separate REST call would also work, even if it’s less efficient.
