Hiding the "Linked Issues" field on Create linked Issue screen breaks the linked issue creation

Issue Summary

If you hide the "Linked Issues" field from the Create Linked Issue screen, when you try to create a linked field, you can go through the whole process, Jira will let you create the issue, but the new issue won't have any links.

This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

Steps to Reproduce

1. Hide the Linked Issues fields and/or Remove the Linked Issues field from the Create/Edit/View screens.
2. Try to create a linked issue
3. Fill the required fields and create the issue

Expected Results

It creates a linked issue (using the standard option for Linked Issues).

Actual Results

Does not create the link between the two tickets, but allows the creation of the new ticket anyway, misleading the user.

Workaround

• Display the Linked Issues field makes the feature works as expected again.
• If the field is missing from the Create/Edit/View screen, add it to them.
