Hi everyone,
As a routine update, we've shipped JRACLOUD-3821 and will continue to track and gather information on Resolutions per Issue Type.
We have heard that this is an important issue to you. After a thorough review by the team, unfortunately, we will not be able to prioritise this issue in the next 12 months, but this remains a key feedback for our ongoing consideration.
Please remember that jira.atlassian.com is only one of many inputs for our roadmap. Please also check out latest updates and upcoming plans from the Jira Cloud roadmap and the Atlassian Cloud release notes blog.
I understand that our decision may be disappointing. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

November 2022 update
Hi everyone,
This ticket was created to track the “Resolution per Issue Type” portion of the feature request - JRACLOUD-3821 (Priorities per Project and Resolutions per Issue Type)
We want to gather your interest so that we can build this ability in Jira. Let us know how you’d use this feature in the comments below.
Regards
Carol & the Atlassian team
Original request description:
As a JIRA Administrator I need more granular configuration for my projects:
- Depending on the issue type, the resolution may be different. For example: in case of bugs, the resolution may be set to "fixed", but in case of improvements there is nothing to fix and the resolution should rather be "implemented". I need to be able to specify the default resolution separately per each issue type.
