Issue Summary
When there is component with the same name across multiple project and component used in the board filter and Inline issue creation from backlog throws error message "Specify a valid value for component(s)"
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a component let's say with the name 'discovery' in project A and project B
- In project A use the board filter project = A and component = discovery
- Try inline issue creation from the backlog of the board
- Error message will pop up "Specify a valid value for component(s)"
- If we click on "create" button the issue creation will work.
Expected Results
The error message is misleading, it should not though the error message.
Actual Results
Issue creation from backlog throws the error message "Specify a valid value for component(s)", though issue will be created when we click on "create"
Workaround
- Update the JQL of the board by removing the component or some or by selecting some-other component and save the filter.
- Now again change filter to include the correct component and save the filter
- Issue creation will work now without throwing any error message
- However the error message will again pop up if we create a component with the same name in some other project
