    Description

      Issue Summary

In Jira Advanced Issue Search, the search bar does not appear and the browser’s developer tools console shows the below error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set properties of null (setting '_validateClickToClose')

This issue is due to an experimental change in Chrome/Chromium 104 that is only present if you have the Experimental Web Platform featuers flag enabled.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Have Chrome v104 installed (or other Chromium-based browser that is based on Chromium v104)
      2. Enable the Experimental Web Platform features falg (chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features)
      3. Go to Advanced Issue Search
      4. Observe that the JQL search bar is not visible on the page

      Expected Results

The search bar must be visible under Advanced Search.

      Actual Results

The Search Bar is missing in Advanced Search.

      Workaround

There are 3 workarounds to choose from:

      • Use a non-Chromium browser (such as Firefox or Safari)
      • Upgrade your Chrome/Chromium-based browser to v105 or newer
      • Disable the Experimental Web Platform features falg (chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features)
