Issue Summary
Some new updates at Atlassian Email end causing outgoing notifications to be sent from jira@mail-us.atlassian.net on behalf of jira@<sitename>.atlassian.net
This is happening only for the projects where the default outgoing email address is used to send the notification.
Steps to Reproduce
- Make sure that the notification address is selected as jira@<sitename>.atlassian.net in Project Settings > Notifications
- Trigger a notification from a ticket
Expected Results
The email is sent from jira@<sitename>.atlassian.net
Actual Results
The email is sent from jira@mail-us.atlassian.net on behalf of jira@<sitename>.atlassian.net
Workaround
- Use a custom email address to send the notifications as suggested here: steps for setting up custom email addresses.
