Atlassian Update 07 April 2022 |
---|
Hi everyone, Thanks for your feedback on this issue. Based on our analysis and your feedback, we will be increasing the limit of child issues and subtasks displayed on the new issue view to 500 - we are working on this as a priority to release in the next few weeks. As mentioned previously we introduced the limit to: 1. improve the performance and speed of parent issue loading (a number of customers have reported slow load times/timeouts for large parent issues) 2. improve our reliability as we continue to scale our product (which meant we needed to place a limit on the number of parent-child relationships we could display on the issue view We understand that some parent issues do have over 500 child issues or subtasks, but the impact to performance and reliability is high at this point. Overtime, we will investigate ways to further improve the experience for these large child issues. thanks the Atlassian Cloud Team |
Currently, the new issue view limits the display of child items to 100. Beyond that, it will open a search view to list these items.
Suggestion
Allow paginated results, just like the "show more" in the backlog.
Workaround
Currently only 100 child issues can be displayed under Epic in Issue View. Workaround is to use Jira search and search for issues by parent Epic, there will be all child issues returned. Example of JQL:
