Possibility to increase size limit constraint set to JQL filter currently stated to 32KB

      Issue Summary

      In Jira Cloud, there is a size limit constraint of 32kb set to JQL filters, which may affect user experience in some plugins such as ScriptRunner.

      Expected Results

      It would be nice to be possible to create JQL filters with size > 32KB. 

      Actual Results

      When trying to save a filter with > 32KB, the following error message is shown:

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.

      However, if using ScriptRunner plugin, the developer offers an external storage as mentioned in documentation.
