Description
Issue Summary
When accessing an app direct link or some Jira pages (E.g: Issue creation screen) as an unauthenticated user, the redirection to the login page doesn't work.
Users will be presented with a "Something's gone wrong" message.
Here are a few reasons for the app/product link to be used from an unauthenticated user:
- the user session expired and the user tries to reload the page
- the user reloads a page after losing the required permissions
- the user receives the email from a colleague or via email and tries to access it without being authenticated
Steps to Reproduce
- Access a direct link for an app (e.g. <siteURL>/plugins/servlet/ac/<appKey>/<appPageID>)
Expected Results
The user request is redirected to the login page as it happens with a product URL which requires the user to be authenticated to access it.
Actual Results
No redirect to the login page occurs and the user will see a "Something's gone wrong" message.
Workaround
In certain scenarios, the https://id.atlassian.com/login?application=jira&continue= URL can be provided with the app redirection URL-encoded provided as the continue parameter.
