Some customers aren't showing up inside the customer organisation

      Issue Summary

      Some customers aren't showing up inside the customer organisation in the customer's section. If you search them through email, they show up with the organisation right beside their names, however, going into the organisation you cannot see them.

      Effectively, they are members of the organisation, but not visible through the UI.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to a JSM project;
      2. On the left sidebar go to customers;
      3. Select an organisation;

      Expected Results

      The customers should be visible inside the organisation.

      Actual Results

      Some customers don't show up inside the organisation, they are only searchable through the customer's page.

      Workaround

      Contact Atlassian Support informing this bug.

            this bug is still present, organization is empty in gui but but two users are inside:

            they are visible under rest/servicedeskapi/organization/<orgid>/user

            This still occurs when a JSM customer is created via API and associated to their organization via API. When using get_users_in_organizations() the user is listed, but the user is not listed underneath the organization within JSM's customer list. If you goto the organization in the web portal, and manually add them, the user then shows up correctly.

            The customer is listed with its organization when searching by user name.

            However, when viewing the organization: company.atlassian.net/jira/servicedesk/projects/SC/organization/33 the following is shown:

            Were getting the same issue, as account owner its proved to be ok, but as site admin its the same as above

            As I see, I am not the only one with this issue. We have the same problem, additionally if I search for them I couldn't find all. I just see some from a company, but if I search for a specific name I find them with the same company searched bevor.

            Can confirm - still an issue. Reported today to Atlassian and was magically fixed, but since it still happens it wasn't properly fixed...

            Hi Applogies 9413f50811f3, 32f538d9e5cf you've been linked to an old issue that support incorrectly reopened. The issue you are experiencing is different and our support team will now work with you to collect more info about your issue and look at a fix.

            On your support tickets would you mind confirming:

            • This happens on both the customers page and the organizations page?
            • Does this continue to occur if you wait 5 minutes after making the change?

The issue you are experiencing is different and our support team will now work with you to collect more info about your issue and look at a fix. On your support tickets would you mind confirming: This happens on both the customers page and the organizations page? Does this continue to occur if you wait 5 minutes after making the change?

            We are having this issue.  Many customers were not showing up under customers nor their org but after opening a ticket with support they magically appeared under their organization.  So presumably this still an issue.

            We've found a second issue that's impacting a small number of tenants - working to fix that atm. We've turned off the thing causing the issue, but will need to fix impacted tenants again.

            Hi all

            We have finished rolling out a change that should have fixed this but it looks like its still impacting some tenants - we suspect that there might be a second issue happening here. I'm looking into this with a high degree of urgency, in the meantime if you are facing this issue please raise a support ticket so support can manually fix your tenant.

            So yesterday I added a new user as a customer to our organization and they appear in the org, but none of our other customers do. Again, I can look up each customer on the User Admin page under 'Service Desk Management'.

            Hello, we are also still impacted by this. "There are no customers yet. Invite some to your service project." It does not affect all organizations though. Only one.

            @Harry, we're still impacted. "There are no customers yet. Invite some to your service project." in all Organizations in all 3 projects.

            Do note that 2 new customers added yesterday do continue appearing in the Organization they were added.

            I would say I'm not impacted by Automation rules (I have one that triggers when a customer comments and it seems to work).

            This is affecting us as well. Customers do not load for the organization, but can search for them in the user admin page under Service Desk Management.

            We also have the problem again, just an hour back all of our customers vanished suddenly, our problem is its impacting the 100's of automation rules we setup for auto tagging participants, sending reminders and so on the worst part is its not even intimating or alerting us unless our customers start reporting we dont notice it either fix it ASAP or give an alert option.

            @Harry this was solved (for us) around the 9th. It worked for days (I added customers daily since then so it was fine).

            I just realized it's empty today. I see you're working on it - just letting you know that for us it went from solved to not solved

            I expect this to be rolled out for all tenants by COB Tuesday 22nd (one week from today). Apologies for the very slow rollout, most customers should be resolved before then.

            Hi all

            We're having to roll this out ultra slowly to avoid impact to other uses of user search. I expect by Friday 1/4 of tenants will no longer be effected by this issue. Apologies again for the delay.

            I am a developer in the Jira Cloud Team and I'm working on fixing this issue as a matter of urgency. I expect that we should be able to fix this for all users by the end of the week Sydney time.

            In the meantime there is a workaround that our support team can run for you to fix an occurrence of this bug on your site if you run into this issue and need an urgent fix please raise a support ticket referencing this bug. Please be assured that the users missing from the page have not lost access and can still use your service desk normally.

            I will given another update by COB Tuesday (Sydney Time).
