Issue Summary
When trying to link a Confluence page with | (pipe), > (greater than), < (smaller than) in the title to a Jira issue using the dropdown list, results in this error:
We're having trouble. Check your connection and try again.
Verified that the I (pipe) becomes %7C, > (greater than) and < (smaller than) becomes %3.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open an Issue > click on Link Confluence page
- Use the dropdown list to select a Confluence page that contains | (pipe) in its title
Expected Results
The page is linked.
Actual Results
The pipe becomes %7C and it’s generate this error: "We're having trouble. Check your connection and try again."

Workaround
- Use a different string which does not include the pipe character;
- Copy the URL from Confluence and paste the link into the Jira issue instead of using the dropdown list.
