      Atlassian Update - November 2024

      Hello everyone,

      I'm April, a product manager looking after Atlassian Teams 👋. I appreciate you sharing your insights into assigning a role to a whole Team. For those who are interested in this ticket, what makes you want to assign the role to a Team as opposed to a group? 

      Broadly speaking, this is on our radar but we don't have a timeline for it yet. I'm keeping it as 'gathering interest' until I have more on whether this is something we will be considering. 

      Please feel free to continue to provide feedback on this suggestion in the comment thread below if you believe this is an important ticket to address. If you do want to provide feedback on why you need this, it'd be great for you to list your use cases - why do you need this feature? That would help a lot with prioritisation.

      When adding people to projects - assigning project role to person, it would be great if you could assign a role to a whole team (People and Teams).

      Currently, it's only possible to assign a role to a specific person or defined user group.
