At the moment,  when using JQL to search for a custom field, the query will reflect the field as "<Customfield name>[<Custom field type>]". 

E.g for a field named 'Test Field' of type 'Number', it will show as:

For the convenience of use and to reduce clutter, it would be good to have an option to disable the field type next to the field's name.
