Changing the date format "jira.date.picker.java.format" in advanced settings causes wrong dates like 0021

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When you change the date format jira.date.picker.java.format in advanced settings to use a year format of 4 digits like this d/MMM/yyyy and you set the year manually with 2 digits in the date picker fields like due date, Jira will auto-complete the year with 2 zeros causing the field to stop working and when you try to edit the field it disappears.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Change the date format jira.date.picker.java.format in advanced settings to use a year format of 4 digits like this d/MMM/yyyy
      2. Create an issue setting the due date manually with a year of 2 digits
      3. See the video below, it includes the bulk edit workaround
        https://share.getcloudapp.com/llu5N0jj

      Expected Results

      The year is auto-completed correctly

      Actual Results

Jira adds 2 zeros at the beginning of the year

      Workaround

If the issue was created and needs to be edited, you can use a bulk edit operation to put the correct date.
