      Problem Definition

When trying to configure the Slack integration, the admin can see the following error message due to the lack of project permissions to "atlassian-addons-project-access":

Slack error: something went wrong while getting project connection list

      Suggested Solution

Clarify how to fix the project permission where a self-service fix is available.

      Workaround

The cause of the error can vary:

Case #1: Open the project permission and check whether the project role "atlassian-addons-project-access" is granted all of the permissions. If not, here's how to fix the permission configs:

      • Log in as a Jira admin
      • go to [Settings]Issues → Permission schemes
      • Find Default Permission Scheme and click Permissions to edit it
      • On the next page, click Grant permission, select all the permissions and grant them to "atlassian-addons-project-access"
      • Repeat the process to all the ** permission schemes where you need to integrate the apps

If you only see the error on a specific project, it's more likely to fall into this case.

Case #2: If the site in question experienced any of the following operations recently, reach out to support.atlassian.com so that Atlassian Support can reinstall the Slack app:

      • renamed site subdomain
      • migrated from Server to Cloud
      • had a backup restored

      Others:

Besides, consider adding yourself as a watcher to be kept informed as to the state of this feature request moving forward. With that way, if our development team updates the ticket, you'll be notified via email.
