I'm working on issues in a particular epic assigned to me, so I've set my filters for that. Anytime I return to the Jira board, these filters disappear. Not only is it a waste of time to reset them, but if I haven't set those filters when I add a new issue it won't set the epic as the issue parent. If the epic remained set as my default filter on that board, then I wouldn't end up creating issues without a parent. 

The simple fix: retain the user's last filter settings until they're explicitly cleared.
