Date times in Jira display in a verbose format

      Issue Summary

Depending on the locale/language you have set in your Atlassian Account profile, dates and times in Jira can display in either a "normal" way or a "verbose" way.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Browsing to <your Cloud site>/secure/ViewPersonalSettings.jspa, your profile says that your language is en instead of English (United Kingdom) or similar.
      2. Browse to an issue

      Expected Results

The dates on comments and in the date section should display in the format e.g. February 1, 2021, 6:32 PM

      Actual Results

Dates render in the format e.g. Mon Dec 14 2020 14:33:22 GMT+1100 (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

There is an error in the browser console:

Non supported locale in tenant context: en

      Workaround

      1. Navigate to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/account-preferences
      2. Change your language to one of the options in the list. It will appear that you already have English selected, so you may need to change it to something else, then back to your intended language.
      3. Wait until these changes make their way to Jira (should be up to a minute?)
