Problem
If a group is added as default members to a Role, by typing, without paying attention to the case sensitivity then we cant remove this group from project's People section, when a new project is created.
Environment
Jira cloud
.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a role called 6Grains and a Group called 6Grain. Notice the capital 'G' here.
- Now add Default members to this Role by typing the group name as "6grain" -> Notice the small case here for 'g'. Save it.
- Now create a project. After creating , check the People section. We will see that role "6Grains" is associated to group called "6Grain". Which is expected.
- Now , navigate to project role "6Grains" , remove the default group associated to it. Make sure that there is no default group.
- Come back to the project previously created and try to remove the group "6Grain" associated with the role "6Grains"
Expected Results
Role should be removed from project People section
Actual Results
When we remove and refresh the page , role is added back.
Workaround
No known workaround as of now.
Notes
Issue is replicable whenever there is a case mismatch. For e.g a group with name "abcd" , if we add them as default members by typing "ABCD" then we cant remove this group from Project people section once it gets added.
