Description
Issue Summary
When viewing an Epic with Tasks under it (or a Task with Sub-tasks), if you click on a child issue, click on its Summary, and then navigate back to the parent issue, the Summary of the child issue will be copied to the parent's Summary.
Steps to Reproduce
- Access an Epic that has child issues, or an issue that has Sub-tasks;
- Click on a child issue;
- Click on the child issue's Summary;
- Navigate back to the parent trough the breadcrumb.
Expected Results
No values should be copied over.
Actual Results
The Summary of the child issue is copied to the parent's Summary.
Here's a recording showing that behaviour: Epic Summary change during navigation.mp4
Workaround
If you want to copy the Summary of a Task or Sub-task, you can select the whole summary while in the Parent view:
- Select the whole Summary of an issue (do not release the mouse's left button yet) -> press ctrl + v (cmd + v in MAC) -> put the cursor outside the issue's area before releasing the mouse's button so you are not redirected to that issue's view.
See the recording: copy summary.mp4
