      Issue Summary

A negative value in a custom number field will be shown as zero in the issue history.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Add a custom number field to an issue in a Jira Software or Service Desk project.
      2. Put a positive number and a negative number here.
      3. Check the issue history. The negative number will be always be shown as 0.

      Expected Results

The issue history should show the actual negative number as in the custom number field instead of 0.

      Actual Results

The issue history always shows 0 when there is a negative value in the custom number field.

      Workaround

While we do not have a workaround to correct the custom number field value in the history of the Jira issue, here is a workaround to accurately audit these changes using Jira automation: Link
