Jira taking up 98% of my CPU bringing entire site to a gridlock. Efficiency really goes out the window when the entire webpage locks up for 15 seconds while typing a comment.

Happy to confirm this issue does not exist on the native app and is almost non-existent when using the browser version on Chrome... however when switching over to FF there is a large noticeable hiccup in performance.

Firefox is up-to-date and I have had other members of the team mention similar issues when using Jira on Firefox v.s. Chrome.

It's also worth mentioning when I move over to my desktop machine which has 32gb of ram the issue doesn't exist. My laptop has 16gb DDR3.
