Summary

Jira email notifications triggered by adding GIFs in issue comments don't render GIFs in the notifications and shows an error message

Steps to Reproduce

1. In a Jira issue, add a GIF from GIPHY in issue comments
2. Check the Jira email notification received for the above action
3. Notification shows below error message
   Unable to embed resource: <GIF name> of type application/octet-stream

Expected Result

GIFs should be rendered in Jira notifications

Actual Result

GIFs fails to render and shows an error message

Note: The email notification format is set to HTML in Jira system default user preferences and user personal settings

Workaround

There is no workaround at the moment.
