Description
Issue Summary
When a custom field is renamed from secure/admin/ViewCustomFields.jspa, the change takes immediate effect on the UI and you can see this change from the Issue view. however via REST API changelog, the old name is retained. This causes a problem when trying to fetch the changelog of a custom field via API and the field cannot be found.
Steps to Reproduce
- Rename a custom field.
- Use the rest endpoint for changelog to check the custom name.
rest/api/3/issue/{issuekey}/changelog
Expected Results
The name changes reflected on the REST API endpoint.
Actual Results
The name doesn't reflect on the REST API endpoint.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
