      It should be possible to put a project into a 'held' state, where nothing can be done to it, or a 'hidden' state so it does not show up in the non-admin web interface.

      I'm sure other states would be useful to others too.

      As per https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-1450 which was opened 17 years ago, this needs to be available to all paying users, not just premium.

            We need a better solution than "pay us more", after having asked for this feature like a gazillion times, a gazillion years ago. You guys really don't like your Jira admins, do you? I've been one for 10 years and I hate my life every time I have to deal with your overengineered features that don't just work.
