Possibility to Set Default Issue Type as "None"

XMLWordPrintable

Jira offers the possibility to set none issue type as default. However, even after setting default issue type as "None", it still pre-select one issue type when the user creates an issue.

That's because the "None" option means that there is no default value, but not that "None" is going to be the pre-selected option. If "None" is set as default issue type, the system will actually show the first Issue Type listed in the Issue Types for Current Scheme.

It would be good to have the possibility to have "None" listed in the drop-down menu. This is to force users to select one issue type instead of accepting the one that is pre-selected.

This was already raised as a bug through JRACLOUD-30620, but the ticket was already closed.
