Date Picker on New Issue View should have "Today" option

      On the old issue view, Jira displays an option to click and select the Today date on Date Picker custom fields:

      But New Issue View does not have this feature:

      Suggestion:

      Add this feature to Date Picker on New Issue View also.

            Migrating from prem to cloud and it's been called out by some of our users as being sub-par in UAT.
            I'd have to agree.

            Poor/lacking UI dev here compared to the server/DC functions.

            I'm not surprised.

            It is SO HARD! to implement Today button in the datepicker.

            + it should have navigation by years
            + it should allow manual editing text input field as text field (today it intercepts arrow keys and doesn't allow to edit come component of the date, for example a year)
