Able to recognize Gmail.com email is the same account with Googlemail.com email

      Problem Definition

      Based on Gmail v/s Google Mail – The Difference Explained documentation, its known Gmail user by default have two email account which is gmail and googlemail email. Both emails are the same user and shared the same inbox. However, from JIRA end, we recognize it as two different accounts. It will be causing an issue to issue creation or issue comment via email. For example, issue created by gmail.com user and googlemail.com user send an email to add a comment. It will end up creating a new ticket as he doesn't have permission to add comment to the existing ticket.

      Suggested Solution

      Recognize email abc@gmail.com and abc@googlemail.com is the same account.

      Why this is important

      User not required to create two accounts.
