Pasting the Formatted text to description/ rich text box field while creating an issue, does not retain the formatting

Issue description

Pasting the Formatted text to description/ rich text box field while creating an issue, doesnot retain the formatting

Steps to replicate the issue

Copy the formatted text from an issue

Click on create issue button
On the Pop up while creating the issue, paste the copied text
The format is lost.

Expected result

The format should be intact

Actual result.

The description field or any rich text box field looses the format

Also observed that the issue is when creating the issue. When pasting the text to an existing issue, retains the format.
