Problem definition
Currently, there is no configuration available to remove or hide options in the "add or create related work" section or the Quick Add Menu, nor to control which buttons are visible to users. This can lead to confusion, as users may see options—such as "Pages" and "Whiteboards"—that they do not have access to or cannot use.
For example, administrators are unable to remove or hide specific options like "Pages" and "Whiteboards" from the menu, resulting in a less streamlined and potentially confusing user experience.
Suggested resolution
To address this issue, we recommend implementing functionality that allows administrators to configure the "Add"/"+" menu ( "add or create related work" section or the Quick Add Menu) in the Jira Work Item/Issue view.
For Example, administrators should be able to:
- Remove or hide specific options (such as "Pages" and "Whiteboards") from the menu for users
- Customise the order of the quick-add option.
Enabling these configuration options would ensure that users only see relevant and accessible features, resulting in a more streamlined interface and reducing potential confusion.
