Attachments are being downloaded as "original", without extension, when using New Jira Issue View

Summary

Update September 2023: This issue only seems to be reproducible for old attachments.

When users are trying to download attachments of issues while using the "New Jira Issue View", Jira will download the file renamed as "original", without extension.

Steps to Reproduce

• Open an issue while using the "New Jira Issue View" (link);
• Try to download an attachment.

Expected Results

• The name and the extension of the file is retained.

Actual Results

• Jira will rename the file to "original" and remove its extension.

Workaround(s)

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
