Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for Jira Cloud. Using Jira Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
Problem Definition
When a Jira site is set to use a different language, unauthenticated API requests and authenticated users that have not selected their preferred language will always return the response in the system language Jira is currently set to use.
Suggested Solution
It could be helpful in some situations to be able to pass a REST API call an additional parameter that would make sure the response came back in a specific language
Why this is important
For developers that are trying to build integrations and other tools that will catch responses, it becomes much more difficult to try and support all the language packs that might exist for Jira. It would help developers to be able to specify a single language for their own error checking or response checking in order to troubleshoot.
Workaround
Change the user's preferred language type before making the request.
