      Problem Definition

Self-help for the users to be able to delete User Generated Content (UGC) like information in the comments.

      Suggested Solution

The customers need an option to delete history as well as there's the option to delete the comments which are however retained in the history. These comments might have some Personal Information in the comments(as a part of UGC).

      Why this is important

The workaround that is available is tedious and might cause losing out on some other data which might be otherwise required by them such as the history and some of the required comments will get deleted while cloning. Such comments need to be added one-by-one back to the cloned issue manually.

      Workaround:

      1. Edit the issue and/or comments to remove the unwanted data from everywhere it is visible in the issue.
      2. Clone the issue using More > Clone in the issue action bar. Cloning does not copy history to the new issue.
      3. Comments are also not copied by the Clone action so manually copy any essential comments you want to keep into the new issue.
      4. Delete the original issue leaving only the cloned copy.
PS: All the history will be removed in the cloned issue and will not be able to track it anyway.
