    Description

      Problem Definition

      • As a Jira administrator when I try to import a Trello board to my Jira cloud site and if I have a Jira Software product enabled: https://<instance_name>.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ExternalImport1.jspa
        1. I do not have the option to select to which project I want to import.
        2. I do not have the option to choose between a company-managed (formerly classic) project and a team-managed (formerly next-gen) project.

      Suggested Solution

      • Provide the option to the Jira administrator to choose the destination project and do not decide directly to import into a newly created team-managed (formerly next-gen) project as described currently in the documentation Importing data from Trello.

      Why this is important

      • This way the Trello built in importer will be more powerful and efficient.

      Workaround

Currently, a valid workaround to import into a company-managed (formerly classic) project is to create a new test cloud site through [https://www.atlassian.com/try] with only Jira core product enabled and make the import in there.

      • Then, export the Jira issues into CSV to import them later in the destination project.
      • Or directly export to CSV from Trello if the Trello Business license if purchased.
