Right now if you need to collect a date range information on a Jira ticket you must have two custom fields in place to get start date and end date.

Suggested Solution

Jira should have a date picker custom field that allows the user to select a date range.

Workaround

Use two distinct date picker custom fields, one for start and other for end dates.
