Problem Definition

Unable to change Favicon on Jira Cloud if a Custom Favicon has already been uploaded.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Log into Jira
2. Go to Jira  settings-> System-> Look and Feel
3. Replace the old Favicon with a new one
4. We see that the Favicon does not change after clicking Upload Favicon

Workaround:

Remove the Logo From look an Feel option, now try changing the Favicon, the Favicon changes. This is intermittent.

Suggested Solution

After multiple attempts customer was able to change the Favicon. This can be replicated internally.

Changing Favicon from default to Custom goes fine

Why this is important

This causes user inconvenience as we have to update the Favicon multiple times in order to update it.
