/rest/api/3/issue/assignee does not allow default assignee by account ID

The Jira REST API for assigning issues should allow you to assign an issue to the default assignee by specifying "-1", according to the documentation. 

e.g. 

/rest/api/2/issue/<issue_key>/assignee

This works when specifying the assignee by name, but not when specifying the assignee by account ID.
